Veterans Needed Now More than Ever Before!

Committees of Safety’s Pledge for Veterans

I, ______________________, have honorably served as a member of the Armed Forces of
the United States, or as an officer in a State or Local police or sheriff's department.

Upon entering into that service, I took an oath or affirmation to support and defend the
Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, not only for the
time during which I so served, but for the remainder of my life.

The Second Amendment to the Constitution declares that "[a] well regulated Militia" is
"necessary to the security of a free State". Today, the threats to this country's security as "a free
State" render more imperative than ever before the full mobilization of "the Militia of the several
States" in every State.

Knowing that my training and experience can materially advance the revitalization of the
Militia in my State, and in furtherance of my oath or affirmation to support and defend the
Constitution, I hereby pledge:
* to help to organize my fellow citizens on behalf of the revitalization of the
Militia of the State of ________________________ ;
* to promote the enactment of a State statute for that purpose; and
* upon enactment of that statute, to volunteer for such service in the
revitalized Militia as my training, experience, and skills qualify me to perform.
